Regions of Service are used for Public Tenders. When Buyers are creating a Public Tender they will select the Regions of Service they wish to open up the Tender to. If the Supplier has the Region selected in their account (and they are also registered on at least one of the Supplier Lists and Categories selected on the Tender), then they will have the opportunity to respond to the Tender in their account (you can find more information here: How Suppliers View & Access a Public Tender).
To provide this information to a Supplier, please use this link to the same article in the VendorPanel Supplier's Help Centre: https://vendorpanelsuppliers.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/900002557463-Specifying-Your-Regions-of-Service
Suppliers should ensure that they select the Regions which they are able to service and are interested in receiving tenders for. If they have selected other regions that they don't service, they will likely receive opportunities to respond to Tenders outside of their areas.
These Regions of Service selections are only relevant to Public Tenders released on the Marketplace lists. They are not taken into consideration when Suppliers are invited to respond to a Request.
Vendor Admins and Colleagues can manage their own Categories and Regions of Services for the lists they are on from their accounts. Due to this, there are occasions when a Colleague does not have access to a Request/Tender that their Vendor Admin is invited to (and vice versa). This is because that user does not match the Request/Tender’s Category or Region of Service selections.
Managing their Regions of Service for Tenders
Suppliers can manage the Regions of Service by selecting Manage regions of service for Tenders under Supplier Lists on the homepage.
Here, they will see a list of Regions separated by each state. They will need to go through and ensure they've only selected the Regions of Service they are able to service or are interested in receiving Tenders for. They can hover their mouse over each region for a list of suburbs/towns/areas that are covered in that Region.
Once they have selected the relevant regions, they will need to click the Save these regions button at the bottom of the page.
