Buyers can extend the closing date of a Request or Tender that is open or reopen a request that has closed (where the Supplier responses are still locked and the decision date has not lapsed) by extending the closing date.
- To extend the closing date (or reopen) click the three vertical dots to the right of the relevant Request or Tender, and select the Edit this request option in the pop-up box.
- If the Request has closed then you will be taken directly to the Dates step. If the Request is still open then you'll need to select the Dates step from the top.
On this page, adjust the closing date as required by clicking on the field and selecting a new date from the calendar. You can also change the close time if required. Click the Save and Continue button, which will take you to the Save & Update step. - On the Save and Update step, you add a comment to notify Suppliers of the submission date extension in the Notify Suppliers of Changes textbox if required. Click the Save Changes button to apply your changes.
The information that is entered in this textbox will be included in the email sent to Suppliers to notify them of the update to the request. It will also be included in the Updates section of the Request Details (accessible to both Buyers and Suppliers by clicking on the magnifying glass icon).
If there are no details entered in this textbox then suppliers will not be notified and no details will be included in the Updates section.
