CORE modules are made up of various eForms that link to each other. You can then report on these eForms using tabular reporting. The context form is the eForm used for the tabular report, and the target eForm is record you are trying to pull into the tabular report.
E.g. I am viewing a contract tabular report (context eForm = Contract) and want to pull in variation data (target eForm = Variation).
When adding a column into a tabular report, you can pull in information from other eForms using either Remote or Advanced columns. To retrieve the relevant information, you will need to define the relationship between these eForms.
- Parent Relationship: The target form is the parent of the context form.
- Child Relationship: The target form is the child of the context form.
- Arbitrary Relationship: The target form does not have a direct parent-child relationship with the context form but can still be connected via a filter (x field from context eForm = y field from target eForm).
Below are some of the common relationships used in tabular reporting.
