When a system is modelled in Nimblex, it is possible to set up a Parent/Child Relationship. In Nimblex, a simple hierarchical relationship is supported where each record may have a single parent record.

There are several controls specifically designed for helping users manage these relationships.

Linking Pipes

Some data in the parent record needs to be displayed or passed on to the child record. We use Link Pipes to automatically capture that data in the child record.

Data synchronisation from parent to child can be achieved if required. This means data in the parent for a particular field will be exactly the same data in the child for that particular field. Synchronisation can be turned off - in this case, data for this field will be automatically populated in the child from the parent, but this can be changed in the child record if required.
