A Vendor Admin will have the ability to set themselves inactive on or delete their profile from the Marketplace Supplier lists they are registered on.
To provide this information to a Supplier, please use this link to the same article in the VendorPanel Supplier's Help Centre: https://vendorpanelsuppliers.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403215565081-Updating-your-Marketplace-List-Active-Status
They cannot do this against a Preferred Supplier List as this can only be done by a Panel Administrator (see here: Setting a Supplier to Inactive & Deleting a Supplier from a List).
If a Supplier sets themselves as inactive or deletes their profile on the Marketplace, Buyers will no longer be able to select the supplier's profile to invite them to a request. They will no longer see their profile on the list.
The instructions below will go through how Suppliers can do both:
-
- They will need to select Supplier Lists you manage under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).
- They will need to navigate to the green Active link next to the Marketplace list they would like to be set as inactive on. This is located to the right of the list name under the Active Status column.
- They can click on the Active link to set themselves as inactive on that specific Marketplace Supplier list.
- This will change the green Active link to a red Inactive link. They can change their status back to Active by simply clicking on the link again.
- When their status is Inactive, if neither the Vendor Admin nor any Colleagues have not made any responses for that particular Supplier list, they will have the option to delete themselves from the list by clicking on the red trash can icon that appears.
- They will need to select Supplier Lists you manage under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).
Suppliers can only delete themselves from a Supplier list if they (or their Colleagues) have not made any responses on that particular Supplier list.
If they have made a response on a particular Supplier list (even if they are unsuccessful for an RFx) then they cannot be deleted from the list due to the requirement for historical data. In this case, they can only be made inactive on the Supplier list.
