If the functionality has been turned on for your organisation, Local Group Administrators (LGAs) will be able to impersonate each other's accounts. This allows them to manage requests in each other's accounts, and manage the buyers/users in the Local Groups they own.
All rules below must be met for a LGA to impersonate another LGA:
- A LGA's account can only be impersonated if they own at least one Local Group
- The impersonator must also be a LGA
- The impersonator must have the same permissions or more than the impersonated
Once all the above is met, as a LGA, you'll be able to impersonate another LGA.
Assigning a Local Group to a Local Group Administrator (LGA)
The Super Admin sets the owner on each Local Group. There are instructions on how to transfer ownership here: Transferring Ownership of a Local Group.
If there are no appropriate Local Groups for an Administrator to manage, you may wish to create a dummy Local Group and assign ownership to the LGA that needs to be impersonated. To do this, create a new Local Group, making sure to set this as a "Demo/Test Group" and allocate the ownership to the LGA that should be impersonated.
Assigning Local Group Administrator (LGA) Permissions
Instructions on how to add or remove Admin permissions, including making an Admin a LGA, can be found here: Adding & Removing Administrator Roles
Impersonating another Local Group Administrator (LGA)
If a LGA owns at least one local group, then the other LGAs that have the same permissions or higher will see the option to Impersonate Local Groups Admins under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menu bar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).
Please note, if you are impersonating a LGA, you will not see this option. This is only available through direct login.
Here they will see the Administrators they can impersonate. They can click on the name next to the relevant Local Group to impersonate that Local Group Administrator.
