Viewing the Supplier Lists and the registered Suppliers you can access

The Local Group you are registered in will have been allocated specific Supplier Lists the users within the group can access. You can find information on how Supplier Lists are allocated to a Local Group by an Administrator here: Managing Supplier List Access for Local Groups.

Under the Supplier Lists heading, you'll be able to select to just view lists that are managed by a specific organisation (eg. selecting 'Internal Organisation lists') or you can select to view All lists.

You'll be provided with a list of the Supplier Lists that you have access to, separated by the organisation that manages the list.

On the left, you'll see the name of the list which you can click to open up a pop-up window with the List Details. This will include the list type, contract number, expiry date, description, the List Owner details, any list documents uploaded to it and the list categories.

Please note

The List Owner is the Administrator who is set to own the Supplier List. They should be contacted by either Buyers or Suppliers who have specific questions regarding the list.

On the right, there will be two columns. The first column under the user icon is the number of Suppliers registered on the list. The second column under the documents icon is the number of documents that have been attached to the list.

If you click on the blue numbered button under the user icon you will see a full list of the Suppliers that are registered on the list. You can click on the business name of the supplier to view their Supplier details on the list, including their business and primary and colleague contact details, compliance, qualification and rate card statuses and categories selected on the list.

If you click on the blue numbered button under the documents icon, you will see the documents that have been attached to the list. This may include templates, terms or contract documents.

Please note

If your enterprise uses the Public Marketplace lists, you will not be able to see the list of Suppliers registered on the lists in this section. This is due to the large number of suppliers registered across the country, and the fact that they are unverified Suppliers. You can still click on the name of the list to see the List Details. You can use the Browse Suppliers by Category feature (see below) instead to view local suppliers on selected categories on the Marketplace lists.

Browse Suppliers by Category

Under the Supplier Lists heading you can select the Browse suppliers by category option. This feature allows you to browse Suppliers by selecting categories and Supplier Lists, similar to how you would when selecting Suppliers in the Request Wizard.

  1. You'll first need to select the type of Supplier Lists you want to use. You can select from either your Internal Supplier Lists, any External Supplier Lists that have been shared with your organisation or the Local Suppliers on the Public Marketplace lists.

You cannot browse across multiple types of lists at the same time, you need to select one type (the same as you would when creating a request).

  2. Select the Categories you want to browse from the options available. You can use the search box to look for keywords. Click on Continue.

  3. From the categories you've selected, select the Supplier Lists you want to browse from the options available. You can use the search box to look for keywords. Click on Continue.

  4. You'll then be presented with a list of Suppliers that line up with your Category and Supplier Lists selections. You can click on the business name of the supplier to view their Supplier details on the list, including their business and primary and colleague contact details, compliance, qualification and rate card statuses and categories selected on the list.

You can use the search box to look for keywords including business name, number, contact details, etc.

You can sort the results either alphabetically by business or primary contact name or by their distance from your set location.

Search for a Supplier

Under the Supplier Lists heading you can select the Search for a Supplier option. This feature allows you to search for Suppliers who are registered on the Supplier Lists you have access to either by their business name or number or by the primary contact's name or email address.

You can select to either search by Business or Person.

Once you enter a search term and click on the Search button, you'll be given results of any Suppliers that match your search for all Supplier Lists they are registered on that you have access to.

You can click on the business name of the supplier to view their Supplier details on the list, including their business and primary and colleague contact details, compliance, qualification and rate card statuses and categories selected on the list.

Please note

If you find no results for a Supplier this does not necessarily mean that they are not registered on VendorPanel. They may still have an account but are not registered on any Supplier Lists that you have access to use.

You can consider contacting the List Owners of the supplier lists you use how new Suppliers can be registered on the lists. If you use the Marketplace lists, you can direct Suppliers to register here: VendorPanel Marketplace.
