The Super Admin has the ability to promote and demote all users within the enterprise.

A Local Group Administrator or Panel Administrator can only be demoted to a Buyer, not a Local Group Manager (although after they are demoted down to a Buyer they can then be promoted to a Local Group Manager). Before they can be demoted you will need to ensure they don't own any Local Groups or Panels, both Admin Roles have been removed from their profile and they are removed as a Global Response Selection Approver. You can find more information on this below.

A Local Group Manager can be demoted down to a Buyer. Local Group Managers cannot demote users.

You can find information on how to promote users here: Promoting Users to Managers/Administrators.

Demote a Local Group/Panel Administrator to a Buyer

This can only be actioned by the Super Admin.

  1. Select Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).

  2. Select to view the Admin/Mgrs in the Administrators Group.

  3. When you find the relevant user, click the blue arrow icon to the right of the user and select the Demote this user option within the pop-up window.

  4. When selecting this option, you may see warning messages regarding the admin's current permissions that will need to be addressed before you can demote them. To be demoted they cannot 'own' any Local Groups or Panels, they cannot have either Admin Role assigned to them and they cannot be set up as a Global Response Selection Approver. See details on how to check and action this in the table below:

Transferring Ownership of Local Groups and Panels Before you can demote a user, and before you can remove an admin role from their profile, you will to ensure that they are not set to own any Local Groups or Panels.

You can find information on how to check who owns each group/panel and how to transfer ownership here: Transferring Ownership of a Local Group and Transferring Ownership of a Panel (Supplier List).
Removing Admin Roles You can find information on how to remove their Admin Roles here: Adding & Removing Administrator Roles.

Please note, you will need to transfer ownership of any Local Groups or Panels before you can remove an Admin Role, see above.
Removing Global Response Selection Approver rights Under Admin Tools in the menubar, select Global Settings. Then, select Response selection approvers - GLOBAL.

Against the Approver click on the trash icon on the far right to remove them as a Global Response Selection Approver.
  5. Once all the above has been actioned you should then be able to demote the user. You'll need to select a Local Group to transfer them to, where they will be registered as a Buyer. Once you've made your Local Group selection from the drop-down box, click on the Demote button and then confirm the action in the dialogue box.

  6. You'll receive confirmation that the user has been transferred to the Local Group you selected.

Demote a Local Group Manager to a Buyer

This can be actioned either by the Super Admin or the Local Group Administrator who owns the Local Group.

You cannot directly demote a Local Group Manager to be registered as a Buyer within the same Local Group. You will need to select to transfer them to another Local Group, which they will be moved and registered as a Buyer. You can then find them in the new Local Group and select to transfer them back to the original Local Group.

  1. Select Local Groups and Users under the Admin Tools menu (either in the top menubar or on the homepage on the left-side menu).

  2. Select to view the Admin/Mgrs in the relevant Local Group.

  5. Click the Browse All button on the left to view the list of all Local Groups and Users. Click the view the Buyers in the Local Group you selected in the step above, where you will find the user.

  6. Again, click the blue arrow icon to the right of the user and select the Transfer user to a different local group option within the pop-up window. Select the original Local Group and then click on the Transfer button to confirm.
