Dates on an RFX are saved as a UTC timezone. UTC is a co-ordinated universal time.

When a Supplier views the time listed on a request, RFX close date as an example, the UTC time is converted into the selected time zone in their profile.

Example:

  • If a buyer in Victoria sets a close time of 4.30pm in Victoria, this time is converted to UTC.
  • When a supplier located in another state, Western Australia for example, who has selected WA as their local timezone, views the RFX closing date, that date (in UTC) is converted to the WA timezone and shown to the supplier.

The only instance where dates and times will be the same for all parties is where they are in the same timezone setting.

Please note

Any documentation you provide/attach to an RFX that identifies a time should stipulate the timezone to avoid misunderstanding or conversion errors. VendorPanel will not convert dates/times within documentation.
